Expect scattered showers/storms today. These will miss a lot of us, and will not be like the rain event we had yesterday. These will affect our counties from late afternoon until bedtime, around 10pm. Nothing severe is expected with these scattered storms but be prepared for lightning and heavy downpours if on of these storms gets close to where you are.
Rain will continue tomorrow and into the weekend off/on. NWS mentions that the highest coverage of rain/storms will be Friday and Sunday. No rain events coming up are looking to be a day-long washout or have severe weather included.
For this weekend, our showers and storms will be more diurnal, that is to say they develop in the heat of the day, then fall apart after sunset. As usual, lightning could be an issue. If thunder roars, go indoors.
Temps are sitting in the mid 80’s for today through the weekend. Dewps climbing up to 70 by Saturday leave us with a definite hairdo ruiner for this weekend.
