Clouds Building Today, Some Light Snow
Rain stays to a minimum this afternoon for Nashville but we can expect some overcast skies into the overnight hours as well.
We top out in the upper 50s for today. Our chance to see some light snow will be closer to overnight tonight.
Very, very light snowfall will enter from the north after midnight – closer to around 3 AM for both Davidson and Williamson County.
Remember, our high temperature this afternoon will be near 60, so accumulation is not possible with how warm surface temperatures reach today.
Most of the snow accumulation stays east of I-65 and near the Plateau. Nashville likely won’t see any accumulation of snow – far northern Davidson county may see a trace amount by early tomorrow morning.
Expect some gusty winds tonight into tomorrow morning as this system dips to the south, ranging anywhere from 15 MPH to 25 MPH gusts.
This system shifts off to the east by the time you head out the door on Monday (around 8 AM) and cloudy skies will continue for most of the day.
Tuesday through Friday
Rain holds off until Thursday!
We remain cold and dry for mid-week. Partly cloudy skies will start the day on Tuesday with temps only reaching the mid-40s. The same conditions for Wednesday as well but a few degrees warmer.
We’ll warm slightly on Thursday just in time for our next weather maker that sets itself up overhead on Friday.
Only a slight chance of showers is anticipated for Thursday and Friday before the possibility of rain to transition into snow late Friday night. We’ll discuss this next sNOw chance later this week.
Until then, Happy Sunday!
