Hot Weekend Ahead for Independence Day

Independence Day Eve (Today)

Right now we are looking at mostly sunny skies which will continue throughout the rest of the day with temperatures continuing to rise into the low 90s.

A thunderstorm is possible in south western Middle Tennessee as the graphic shows, but the Nashville area is in the clear.

With the temperatures being high, be aware of the interior temperature of your car. When it’s 90 degrees outside it can get to 109 degrees inside after 10 minutes and 124 degrees after 30 minutes. Keep this in mind when taking your children, pets, and other living things with you to run errands.

Heat is one of the most deadly natural disasters, and most of those deaths result from kids left in hot cars. The graph above shows the statistics of why the people held responsible said this happened. Don’t be like the people recorded for this graph.

July 4th (Tomorrow)

Another hot, sunny day with a chance of showers between 1pm & 2pm, then a slight chance for thunderstorms after 2pm. This shouldn’t be too threatening to any plans you may have.

Have a fun, safe holiday weekend!
