Sunny/Hot Continues, Could Get Some Relief by This Weekend

Current Radar

Tonight: Mostly Clear – Temps Into the Low 70s Overnight

Great outdoor conditions for anyone with plans tonight. Clear to mostly clear skies expected through the night. Temps will fall down to 80° by 9PM before going down into the low 70s overnight.

Thursday and Friday: Much of the Same, Sunny and A Bit Humid – High 92°

my-forecast-google-chrome-2016-09-07-15-38-55

If you like today then you’ll definitely like the next two days. Highs each day in the mid 90s with sunny skies expected for the majority of the day. Dew point temps have bounced back up a bit, reaching the mid-to-upper 60s. Watch out for the heat if you are outside for long periods of time. Those high temps with our sticky dew point temps will make heat index values be in the upper 90s.

There is a mention of us possibly getting some very isolated showers on Thursday afternoon. Some models show us getting some showers during the day while others do not. I wouldn’t count on it, but just know the small chance is there.

Weekend Outlook: Humid Until Our Good Friend the Cold Front

my-forecast-google-chrome-2016-09-07-15-39-24

A nice cold front will be on approach on Saturday. Friday night plans and morning plans on Saturday appear to be clear of any rain, but once we reach the afternoon hours on Saturday, we could see a weak line of showers and thunderstorms associated with that cold front. Those that have plans this weekend (Vanderbilt Game Folks), tailgating should be fine, but you may want to bring a poncho for the game.

Luckily the rain shouldn’t last long and we will see the cold front moving towards us, so we should have a little heads up of when to expect the most showers.

Into Sunday, with that cold front passing us, temps will cool down into the low to mid 80s for our high. Sunny skies expected through the entire day. with our dew point temps staying in the mild upper 50s.
