Tonight: Any Lingering Showers Deteriorate
Afternoon rain has developed, mainly east, but some storms may stray to the west. We should see this activity dissipate, especially after sunset. Expect temps to fall back through the 80s for the remainder of the evening, as we hope to dry out.
Tuesday: Increased Storm Chance – High 90°
An increase in moisture is expected on Tuesday, in addition to better “storm food” that will aid in afternoon storm development. A low pressure system is expected to drift westward beginning Tuesday and will continue to hang out in the area for the remainder of the week. Which means…
More rain and storms! As we go through the week, some of these afternoon storms could be strong with gusty winds and frequent lightning, with the main concern becoming localized flooding. A cold front will be approaching the region by this weekend, potentially leading to greater storm/heavy rain chances.
