Chilly Days & Cold Nights Coming Up

Current Radar

THIS EVENING – 54° by 7 PM

Temperatures will dip into the 50°s by the evening.

Clear skies will allow temps to drop to just below 40° overnight, making for a very chilly start tomorrow morning!

FRIDAY – Wake Up: 39°, High: 58°

An area of high pressure will be working its way in tomorrow behind this morning’s front:

Winds will be out of the north by tomorrow, 5-10 mph.

Skies will be sunny but as cooler air behind the front keeps getting pushed into Tennessee, highs will only be in the upper 50°s. Our highs will be cooler than today, but so will our overnight lows….

Skies will be clear again tomorrow night, and that’ll allow the mercury to take a dive once again.

This time, we’re looking at lows near the freezing mark, even into the 20°s for some parts of the state (but not us).

While we should stay in the 30°s, we’ve still been included in a Freeze Watch for Friday night through Saturday morning.

So, while we may miss out on the brunt of the coldest air, plants left outside will still not have a nice time.

Also, bring those furry friends inside!

SATURDAY – Wake Up: 33°, High: 58°

Have the hot coffee ready to go Saturday. We’ll be waking up to the 30°s.

Saturday, and Sunday, for that matter, look really nice.

High pressure will continue to keep us rain-free and sunny:

Frost is possible once again Saturday night. If temperatures get to the freezing mark, it should be for a couple of hours at the most.

Jack Frost hasn’t arrived just yet.

EXTENDED: Rain Stays Away Through the Weekend!

Looking Ahead to Next Week…

David mentioned yesterday that models are hinting at a potent storm system affecting our weather next week.

As of this morning, models haven’t changed their thinking much.

It’s still very early, but it’s just something to keep in mind.

We’ll continue to keep a close eye on things.
