October Today, August Tomorrow Through The Weekend

Editor’s Note: I”m finishing this for Kaiti today. She and Meagan are on campus at Mississippi State. Kaiti was almost done with it  when the active shooter situation started. Both are OK and not involved.

Current Radar

TODAY – One Last Day of Perfect Weather – High: 85º

Today is going to be another very nice day, with plentiful sunshine and lower humidity in place.

Highs this afternoon will rise to the mid 80°s.

High pressure will continue to influence our weather for today, keeping a northerly wind in place and that cooler air pouring in:

THIS EVENING: 78° by 7 PM

Pleasant conditions will carry into the evening hours, with a nice north breeze around 5-10 mph.

Winds will relax a bit overnight, and lows will fall to the low 60°s.

FRIDAY – Humidity Rises – Wake Up: 63º, High: 89°

While you’re sleeping tonight, winds will begin to shift to the east. By the time you wake up, winds will be out of the southeast.

This will set the stage for our lovely low humidity to rise tomorrow.

It won’t be out of control, but you’ll likely notice that it’ll feel a little more sticky outside.

High pressure will move off to our east, allowing for more cloud cover to arrive, along with those higher dew point temperatures.

As that high pressure that has kept us so dry breaks down, that’ll allow for rain to creep in to east Tennessee. But, our rain chances will stay low for one more day:

Highs will take a jump back up to near 90°.

SATURDAY – The Rain Chances are Back – Wake Up: 69º, High: 89°

Humidity will rise a bit more by Saturday.

Highs will once again be near the 90° mark.

As an area of low pressure approaches from the west, our rain chances will bump up slightly.

We’ll have a chance for afternoon showers and storms:
