Today – Heat Advisory – High 96°
The temperature will be in the upper 90°s, and with dewpoints in the 70°s, it will feel like 104° at 3:00 PM today! We could see our heat index rise as high as 107°. Yikes! The Heat Advisory will last through Sunday at 7:00 PM.
The HRRR model has a few pop-up showers to the northeast, but it looks to be a dry day for us:
Sunday – Heat Advisory Continues – High 96°
Upper level high pressure will keep it nice and toasty.
There may be isolated showers and thunderstorms in Middle Tennessee early in the morning. Then, daytime heating will help build brief showers – possibly impacting us – throughout the afternoon. No worries, we are not expecting a washout!
The Heat Advisory continues on Sunday, and it could be extended into Monday.
Monday – Still Hot, Maybe Some Rainy Relief? – High 95°
A summer “cold” front will sweep through bringing a chance for shower and thunderstorm development. There will be an increase in cloud cover in the morning into the day, so our temperatures will be slightly cooler.
Yes, 95° is “slightly cooler.”
Extended: Dewpoints will remain in the 70°s, so the humidity isn’t leaving us anytime soon.
