Tonight
The ribbon of light rain slowly training in from the SW will eventually slide east of us, leaving us cold and blergy. HRRR FutureRadar:
The rain will end later tonight/early Monday morning.
Rest of the Week
Most of it is pretty quiet:
A dry cold front arrives mid-week, cutting the temps for the rest of the week.
Our next weather maker arrives Thursday night. NWS-Nashville says “precipitation could start off as sleet given the cold temperatures, [but then turn to] all rain from Friday through the weekend.” This reflects thinking from yesterday and the day before that temps will be too warm over the weekend to make snow.
As for Thursday night sleet potential….the GFS doesn’t even think it’ll be raining then. By the time the rain arrives midday Friday, GFS says it’ll be all rain. The Euro model says it’ll be a close call, but it’s still leaning toward “just rain.” Same thing from the Canadian model.
The same system delivering the precip is pushing out the cold air. Next weekend looks rainy and chilly.
