Rain is starting to bubble up, mostly notably north of and in downtown. Classic summertime weather. This should diminish after dark. Patchy fog will be developing late tonight.

Patchy morning fog will be in the area, dissipating quickly once the sun rises. Temps are expected to reach 91. Add to that high dew points, and heat index (“feels like”) values could reach 97. Pop-up thunderstorms can’t be ruled out in the afternoon hours. Another very hot, humid day.

We could see more fog in the early morning. A cold front will approach, and thunderstorms are expected to develop ahead of the front.  Arrival of the rain is not expected until late afternoon, lasting into the evening. There could be more than one round of storms. We aren’t expecting, but can’t rule out, strong or severe storms.
