Wind Chill Values As Low As -3°F Sunday Morning; ~36 Hours of Below Freezing Temps

If you are trying to decide about getting something done outside either today or Sunday – I could not recommend today more.

That’s not entirely because today will be super nice, but because Sunday will be brutally cold.

Today our high temp will be near 50° – not too shabby. There’s a small chance for a quick, light shower this evening – but most of us will stay dry.

A Cold Weather Advisory goes into effect midnight tonight, lasting thru noon Monday.

Below freezing temperatures for 36 straight hours, including bitter wind chills as low as 3 below Sunday morning and single digit lows Monday morning.”

Things really won’t improve much Sunday. Wind chill values will be in the single digits almost, if not all day on Sunday. If you have any outdoor plans Sunday, layers upon layers will be needed. Hypothermia can set in quickly with temperatures this cold.

Today will be the day to prepare your home for these temps. Don’t forget about the 4 P’s: People, Pipes, Pets and Plants.

Also, considering helping others out thru supporting Open Table, a great local organization.

Wake up temps Monday morning will again be close to 10°. Thankfully, the wind will be calm so our wind chill values won’t differ much, if all from, the actual air temperatures. Regardless, that’s still cold.

We’ll finally return above freezing midday Monday and will keep gradually warming up throughout the week.

No real rain chances until Thursday during the day. Pretty dry start to the month, only 1.07″ measured in the rain gauge at BNA so far.
