The Prodigal Sun Returns, Still Expecting Chilly Weekend

Our next weather system will approach Wednesday. It’ll be a cold front that’ll knock our temps back down for Thursday, but nothing extreme. Not even expecting precip with this cold front.

However, you will notice south winds pick up ahead of this front. Gusts to 30 mph possible tonight and into Wednesday. Strap down your outdoor decorations!

A second cold front will arrive Saturday night. This one has some teeth temperature-wise. It’ll usher in a decent Canadian airmass with highs Sunday in the mid-30s and lows Monday morning around 20…maybe teens. Models have backed off the bone-chilling cold they were forecasting a few days ago. Thankful for that.

Too early to know if we’ll get any frozen precip out of it. Definitely some moisture with the system, but the moisture and cold air has to be in place at the same time for shenanigans to occur. We’ll keep you updated.
