While Winter doesn’t officially start until the 21st, we’re right in the middle of it meteorologically. I had my driveway concreted the other day, and we’re currently accessing our house by driving through this and through a field….so I’m as ready as anyone for some sun and warmer temps. If you see a mud-covered pickup truck with a NashSevere sticker driving around, wave. I’ll wave back.

Rest of the Weekend
We’ll stay rain-free and mostly sun-free through the weekend. But, Sunday evening/night we could get some scattered drizzle/light rain. Nothing heavy. HRRR illustrates…loop 1pm Sunday through 6am Monday

Generally, a tenth of an inch or less is expected. Some may get nothing/not much at all.

No Accumulations With Any Flakes
Overnight into Monday morning, this rain will changeover into some snow showers thanks to a cold front. Sorry for all you snow lovers though, as no accumulations are expected.

Extended Forecast
After our dreary weekend, high pressure will attempt to build in into the beginning of the work week, driving temperatures into the 50s for highs. This story changes mid-week, as a trough is expected to dig south and bring more rain chances to Middle Tennessee. There remains some uncertainty with exact impacts of this system due to discrepancies in the guidance, so stay tuned as we refine the forecast.
