Hailers Gone. 3 Things: Fog, Nice Weekend, Rollyball Rainout Potential Mon-Tue

Steep lapse rates aloft punched up large hail today. Hail was technically severe (1″ in diameter) for many, especially in north Franklin to Cool Springs to Brentwood. Wind driven hail made impacts worse. You may have a hail damaged roof.

A small sampling. Fieldstone Farms in Will Co.:

Our severe threat is over for today. May see a passing shower but the show is over.

Three things.

  1. Fog should develop overnight, dissipating by 9 AM. Low beams.
  2. The weekend looks suddenly great. A departure from previous forecasting. Now, no rain expected, except mayyybe Sunday a few sprinkles for Moms but probably not. Rain should stay south of us. Temps in the 70°s with dewpoints in the upper 40°s is almost perfect.
  3. Rain returns Monday and Tuesday. Does not look severe atm but we do expect thunderstorms. Rainout alert for ball games.

Thursday, gulp. I’m not ready for the heat.

We are not outlooked for severe weather in the next week. Could change, as usual.
