Upper 20°s tonight in Columbus. No precip. Winds unlikely to be an issue. Dewpoints falling through the teens, you’ll want chapstick.
Back home: warmer each day this week.

Rain possible Christmas Day thru at least Saturday.
- Scattered Christmas Day showers. Not a washout.
- Best chance of rain Friday.
Friday is barely strong/severe interesting.
The next better chance for rain looks to be Friday as a more organized band of showers develop. Have been monitoring the potential for any strong storms with this. It seems the overall risk for severe weather has lowered since previous model solutions as the midlevel trough weakens as it moves east out of the southern plains. As always though, we will see how the next several model runs shift as we go into next week.
NWS-Nashville Forecast Discussion 12/21/24
I see nothing severe-concerning. Plenty of wind energy but that’s it. Too soon to declare anything but all signs positive. GFS/Euro/ICON models show no concerning CAPEs and a massive bad-storm-squishing temperature inversion. Good news.
