Cold Front Friday Brings Slightly Cooler Temps + Chance of a Shower

Before the cold front, record high temps will be possible on Friday. The daily record high is 84° and the current forecast is 86° – nearly 20° above average for this time of year.

Winds could get a little breezy Friday afternoon and evening, with gusts up to 20mph.

Overnight Friday into early Saturday morning, the cold front may be able to squeeze out just enough moisture for a few lucky folks to see a quick shower.

Rainfall totals, if any, will be light and not of any significance. Only thing it would do is end our long rainless streak.

If we don’t see any rain, it looks like we could get our first ever completely dry calendar month (at least in recorded history).

Good news is the cold front will cool down temps slightly for the weekend. High temps in the low 70s for Saturday and Sunday. Bad news is highs return to the 80s for the beginning of next week.

New drought monitor update came out today and shows no changes for our two counties.
