If you have yard work, (crunchy) grass to mow, today and tomorrow are the days. No rain chances.
Thursday thru Saturday high temps will be flirting with the century mark.
An Excessive Heat Watch has already been issued for Thursday. I imagine one will be issued for Friday and Saturday. “Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values up to 113° possible.”
We can blame dewpoints in the mid 70’s for THAT heat index.
We’ll need gills to breathe, but last time I checked fish don’t swim in 100° water. Sounds like we’ll have it the worst.
Our saving grace may be the Wattery. With dewpoints that high, pop-up showers/storms will be possible. This would be suuuppperrr cool. 1) bc we need rain 2) who likes it to be 100°
Sunday and Monday temps will relax into the low 90’s with even higher Wattery chances.
With this dangerous heat coming up, it’s a good time for a reminder to look before you lock. Never leave kids or pets in your car, not even for 5 minutes.
