Not the ideal start to Moms Day. Mother Nature wanted to be involved and show off her beauty I guess.
Little does she know; we prefer the sunny look. Good news is I think a majority of the day we’ll be getting that.
HRRR model (above) thinks some showers linger thru lunchtime, but the rest of the day should be dry for the most part. Can’t totally rule out a pop-up shower/storm, but it looks more likely you’ll stay dry. Perfect day to do whatever mom wants to do.
For those who are early risers, and to those who may be forced to be early risers Monday morning.
HRRR model (above) thinks a band of showers/storms swings through Monday morning around 6am, not completely convinced on this ETA, or that it even hits us. It could swing north or south. If you plan on sleeping later than 6a, your child or furry friend may not allow it. Line could include some gusty winds, lightning, and heavy rain. There is a small, small possibility that these gusty winds reach severe criteria (58mph+), but probably not.
Monday and Tuesday afternoon brings Wattery chances. Refresher, Wattery = water + lottery + Watts from lightning. It’s about that time of year. Wednesday + Thursday look not so bad, dew points get knocked down a good bit into the low 60’s.
Way too early look at next weekend, maybe some rain chances and warm. Broad, I know. It’s all we got right now.
Note: Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there! You all are the best! A special shoutout to my mom, she reads all the blogs and makes me feel like I am at least somewhat funny, thanks mom. All moms that read the blogs are automatically cool moms. I don’t make the rules.
