Slight Chance of Showers Tonight, More Rain Chances Later This Week

Current Radar

Tonight: Occasional Showers Possible – Temps Drop into the Mid-50°s

Majority of the showers have pushed through our area and are continuing onto the East. We still aren’t in the clear, but the heavy stuff should be done.

HRRR displays the heavy showers passing with a few stragglers developing before the end of the night:

We only have a small chance of showers tonight. Any rain should be very brief. Rain should be gone for good a little after midnight and cloudy skies will remain. Temps will be a little cooler than we’ve seen recently, dropping to the mid-50s overnight.

Tuesday: Clouds Clearing, Sun Staying – Wake Up 54° High 71°

Nice day on Tuesday with sunny skies by the afternoon and temps staying a little below average for this time of year.

Clouds will increase through the evening into the overnight hours. Shouldn’t see any rain for those of you going to the Nashville Sounds game.

Wednesday: Cloudy Early, Slight Chance of Showers in Afternoon – Wake Up 50° High 72°

We will start off fairly calm on Wednesday. Clouds should become increasingly present throughout the morning hours. Winds should be quiet in the AM but may ramp up a bit in the afternoon with gusts up to 25 mph.

Expect to see some showers at some point Wednesday. We can’t give a reliable ETA; right now, models suggest they’ll hold off into the afternoon/evening hours:

  • Update: The NAM4 model still shows a small band of showers moving through in the early afternoon, followed by some more disorganized showers in the late afternoon/evening:

  • The GFS model likes the showers holding off until the evening hours:

  • The Euro model shows showers through the afternoon and evening.

Since it is the spring time, we will probably get a few showers on Wednesday, timing is TBD, but any rain we get should be limited.

Allergy Report: Average Sniffles

Rain has greatly helped in keeping our pollen down. This weekend we may get a few more sniffles, but looks to be about medium range for the pollen.com forecast:
