Strong to Severe Storms Possible Friday

Today marks the beginning of our warm stretch of weather. Highs in the 60s thru Friday, well above average for this time of year.

Rain chances return on Thursday, more likely so during the back half of the day. No hazardous weather expected on Thursday.

Friday will be the day we continue to keep an eye on. The Storm Prediction Center has introduced a 15% chance of severe weather within 25 miles for the far western portion of our two counties.

There’s still a good amount of uncertainty, as expected this far out – especially regarding the CAPE (storm fuel), which is usually hard to come by this time of year. I’ll refrain from trying to dive too far into the details on things just yet since things will likely change a good bit between now and then.

For now, remain weather aware and keep checking back in for updates – we’ll keep y’all posted.
