Not much has changed regarding our very low chances of some wintry precipitation tonight.
Very little to no impacts are expected.
This is our classic cold air chasing precipitation as it exists the area – the scenario that almost never works out for snow lovers. This is very likely one of those that leave snow lovers disappointed.
Our odds for 0.1″ or more of snowfall (aka a dusting) sits at about 50%. For those wondering, our odds for 1″ or more sit at 0%.

Far northern Davidson Co. have the best odds at seeing said dusting of snow – shoutout Joelton. Odds decrease the further south you go.
We may see a few slick spots, especially on some backroads in far northern Davidson Co., Tuesday morning – but no widespread impacts are expected.
Timing wise, showers (in the liquid form) will move in around dinner time today. Rain showers will continue thru the overnight hours and may briefly switch to a wintry mix/snow in the wee hours of Tuesday morning.

Officially, only far northern Davidson Co. is expected to see a dusting. That doesn’t mean you can’t see a dusting in Franklin, but it’s more likely in a place like Joelton. Set ups like this have surprised us before, but I would keep your expectations on the floor if you are a snow lover.

Forecasting winter weather is always a headache, especially around here. Things could certainly change, but confidence is fairly high on this outcome. We’ll keep y’all posted with all the updates on all of our socials.
Today marks the first day of meteorological winter – and it will absolutely feel like it this week. Below average temperatures will hang around all week. We’ll hardly make it above freezing Tuesday.

Next chance of precip comes around Friday morning. This could also possibly have some wintry mix with it, but one system at a time.
