Much Cooler + Drier Air Arrives Wednesday

We’ll spend today drying out, with today being the last day of truly comfortable high temperatures as we get near 70° this afternoon. No more rain is expected.

Tonight, our wind direction will flip from SW to NW, which will begin the intrusion of cooler temperatures.

Temperatures throughout the rest of the week, including Thanksgiving, will be cooler than average. Highs won’t escape the 40s on Turkey Day and Black Friday.

Thanksgiving morning, Friday morning and Saturday morning we’ll deal with freezing temperatures – probably a hard freeze Friday morning. Not that freezing temps are very noteworthy this time of year, but it’s been a while.

From turkey trots, to backyard football games, to Black Friday shopping, you’ll want to dress warm. Maybe that means wearing your Thanksgiving pants.

We’ll stay dry until Saturday night when rain will move in, sticking around for at least the first half of Sunday. No severe worries.

Euro model gives an early guess below:

At least low rain chances will stick around for the first half of next week. Earlier runs of the NBM had some almost concerning rainfall totals for us next week. However, recent runs have backed off on totals a good bit, and things looks very manageable now and no hazardous weather is expected at this time.
