Nothing Spooky About Today’s Forecast, Saturday PM Showers

Happy Halloween!

All things considered, good weather is in store for Halloween today.

Highs will make it into the low 60s this afternoon, slightly below our average of 67° but still reasonable.

Temperatures for trick or treating will be fairly nice too, starting out in the mid 50s, making it down into the upper 40s for those really dedicated.

Similar temperatures are in store for Saturday, but we will still deal with some shower chances in the afternoon and evening.

HRRR model (below) shows scattered showers, an outside chance of a rumble of thunder, mostly confined to after dinner. Those with any dinner/evening plans should think about bringing some rain gear.

Rain should clear out for those attending the Titans game on Sunday. It’ll be a chilly one, with highs only getting into the mid 50s.

I won’t be surprised if a few places see some frost Monday and/or Tuesday morning, temps will get pretty close to freezing, especially places removed from Downtown.

Thankfully, high temps will increase throughout the week next week, getting near 70° by the middle of the week.

Just another reminder, we “Fall Back” Sunday morning at 2a. Most smartphones will do that on their own, but your oven and old school alarm clocks may need help with that. I still won’t mention what the sunset times will be.
