Showers Today, Dry Weekend

Temperatures will likely not get out of the 50s today as showers and plenty of cloud cover hang around throughout the day.

On and off showers will be around for most of today, overall coverage will become more scattered as we get closer to this afternoon.

HRRR model demonstrates below:

A rain jacket should do the trick. Can’t rule out an occasional wind gust up to 25mph during the day thanks to the nearby low-pressure system, denoted by the red “L” on the gif above. So, caution if you choose to pick an umbrella as your rain protection. No severe or flooding worries, very unlikely you even hear a rumble of thunder.

A few showers might linger around early Thursday morning, but we should begin to dry out. Wind gusts again could reach up to 25mph as a NW wind brings in drier air, which could add a little more chill to the air.

Halloween on Friday will be dry with highs warming up into the low 60s. Trick-or-treating will be fairly nice, although I’d pick a costume on the warmer side, with temperatures expected to be in the upper 40s/low 50s.

Fittingly so, very Fall-like weather will be in store for this weekend. Highs in the low 60s, lows near 40°. No rain expected.

It’s that time of year, Daylight Savings Time ends this Sunday at 2a. We’ll “fall back” an hour, giving us an extra hour of sleep. I won’t even mention what the sunset times will be.
