Great Weather Today, Wet First Half of Next Week

Just some really nice weather today. Low 70s for high temps will probably be the warmest temps we see for a while.

“[I]f you don`t have outdoor plans, you may want to rethink that.” says NWS Nashville. Whether it’s the Vandy game, some outdoor Fall activity – I’d do it all today.

Rain chances return to the forecast on Sunday and stick around for at least the first half of next week.

There’s some model disagreement on the ETA of the rain on Sunday.

The Euro has really been liking the idea of rain arriving Sunday morning, while the GFS and HRRR think it holds off until early afternoon. Which is right? Unfortunately, there’s no way to know for sure. For those with outdoor plans tomorrow, such as the Franklin Witches Ride, keep an eye on the forecast. Good news is that no thunderstorms are in the forecast, just rain.

I’ll show the Euro, just because it’s been so consistent, but it’s entirely possible that it is wrong and that a model such as the HRRR (a later, drier solution) is correct. We’ll keep y’all posted.

Rain should taper off by morning-ish on Monday.

Tuesday and Wednesday will consist of scattered showers throughout the day. Hard to nail down specific timing due showers being on/off.

No severe weather concerns, it’ll even be hard to come by a rumble of thunder.

Rainfall totals generally in the 1-2″ range thru Thursday, spread out enough to avoid any flooding worries.

Temperatures will be fairly cool throughout next week. Rain should be gone by Halloween on Friday.
