Watching Saturday/Sunday for Rain, Maybe Storms

We continue our streak of cool mornings, warm afternoons, and staying dry throughout the work week.

Average high for this time of the year is ~75°, so we’ll be several degrees above average throughout the week.

Rain chances re-enter the forecast this weekend.

“That said, the pattern is favorable for decent rainfall chances Saturday night into Sunday.” – NWS Nashville

All of this is still several days away, so details are still fuzzy at this time.

Models are predicting that places to our west see enough moisture and instability (storm fuel) to warrant a severe potential on Saturday. We are currently not included in any severe probabilities, but it’s close enough to at least mention and keep an eye on things.

Bottom line: we are currently not expecting severe weather, but things could change. We should at least get some decent rainfall from this, so that’s the good news. It is a good reminder that we are entering the start of our severe weather season, and it’s a good time to freshen up on your severe weather plan.
