Much Needed Rain Coming Up

We’ve gone from no rain chances in the forecast, to now everyday over the next 7 having rain chances.

Fairly low rain chances today. I bet most of us get away with a dry afternoon and evening. Those with outdoor plans should keep an eye on the radar tho – a shower or storm will be possible. Any storm may contain lightning, maybe some small hail.

Rain chances increase a bit on Sunday.

HRRR model shows pretty decent coverage for Sunday afternoon, maybe a few showers in the morning too.

Those attending the Titans game and other outdoor activities should think about bringing some rain gear. If the HRRR model is right, most of the activity would hold off until after the game – but the HRRR is frequently incorrect. Models are guidance, not gospel.

Models continue to be in agreement that we see medium rain chances daily starting Monday thru at least Friday. Timing and specifics are still iffy – but the good news is that rainfall totals for the week are trending up. I suppose that may not be good news for those with outdoor plans – but we sure could use the rain.

The WPC has brought our 7 day rainfall totals up to ~2.5″. Thankfully, this should be spread out enough to where we can just enjoy the rain and not worry about flood concerns.

Alongside all the cloudiness and rain, temperatures will finally relax a bit.
