Air Quality Alert is still in effect until midnight tonight.
“The general public is not likely to be affected. Active children and adults, and people with a respiratory disease such as Asthma, should limit prolonged outdoor exertion.”
New Drought Monitor came out today and shows no changes for either of our two counties.

That’s at least some good news. However, it will probably get worse before it gets better.
We remain dry thru the end of this week. Next rain chances come around starting Monday – sticking around for at least the first half of next week. As of right now, this doesn’t look like a widespread, soaking rain. Just low-ish chances of scattered showers, maybe a storm.
Rainfall totals over the next 7 days appear to be around one inch.
Another factor not helping our drought is the well above average temperatures we’ve been dealing with – and will continue to deal with over the next little bit.
Highs in the mid 90s thru this weekend, backing off a bit to the upper 80s by next week. Regardless, that’s all still above average. Average highs are in the low 80s.
