A few showers, maybe a thunderstorm, will be possible this afternoon and evening.
No severe or flooding concerns. We’ll take any rain we can get, but doubtful that everyone will see rain.
HRRR shows coverage being quite isolated. It’s Wattery style, so anyone’s guess who see rain, if anyone does.

No other rain chances until this weekend, when low (20-30%) chances return. Timing still iffy this far out. Right now, rainfall totals don’t look too impressive (~0.25″) but this amount will probably change between now and then.

Average high temps for this time of year are 82-83°, and we’ll see ~10°+ above that all this week.
Good news is that dewpoints will only be in the upper 50s/low 60s – so heat index values won’t differ much than actual air temps. Regardless, it’ll be hot.
With these hot temps and little rain, it won’t be helping our worsening drought situation.
Our Drought Monitor won’t get updated until Thursday, but with very little rain over the last week – I can’t imagine it brings much good news.
Thankfully, our fire danger should remain relatively low thanks to light winds and decent humidity levels.
