Cooler Weather Arrives Next Week

I am going to continue to yap about this incoming cooler weather because that is what I am excited for. Also, there isn’t much else to talk about.

Before that, we do have 3 more days of average temps to get thru – which for this time of year, is still hot.

Highs around 90°, nothing crazy.

The magic arrives Monday. A cold front will push thru the area, ushering in below average temps, dewpoints in the 40s/50s – can’t write it up much better for late August.

The CPC suggest that these below-average temps stay with us to close out the month and even linger into early September (the 8-14 day outlook paints more blue over us, but I don’t want to be too redundant).

The only legit rain chances inside of the next 7 days will be Saturday afternoon and evening, and it doesn’t look like much.

Few quick showers, maybe a thunderstorm, will be possible. Some of us will stay dry, and in any case, rainfall totals would be relatively light.

HRRR model gives a guess:

Nashville is still 8.94″ above average on rainfall for 2025, despite the recent “dryness”.
