PM Storm Chances Today, Probably Dry Rest of the Week

Note: Blogs will now be published in the morning hours, instead of the evening hours. Fueled by coffee or energy drinks, depending on what kind of day it is. Today was an energy drink kinda day, in case you were wondering,

Still hot today, just not as hot. Highs still get up into the mid 90s.

Scattered showers and storms will be possible in the afternoon and evening today. No severe weather expected, but we could see some storms with heavy rain, lightning and gusty winds.

HRRR model gives a guess below, although the radar won’t look exactly like this:

After today, rain chances drop realll close to zero. The rest of the week will mostly be dry – I suppose a stray shower can’t totally be ruled out but really think the overwhelming majority of us stay dry. Nothing noteworthy though.

High temperatures will remain slightly above average thru this weekend, in the low 90s. Granted, it’s not the 101° we saw Tuesday, but still hot.

The cold front that we have been dreaming about allll summer long is expected to come thru Monday morning.

Although no rain is expected along the front, this will knock our high temps all the way down into the low 80s and waking up with temps in the upper 50s/low 60s. This will be our first glimpse of Fall, although the seasons don’t just change with the flip of a switch. We still get hot in September.
