Heat Advisory for Monday, More Possible Later This Week

Main story this week weather-wise will be the consistent heat.

We have another Heat Advisory from 11a to 8p Monday, along with the one that expires at 8p tonight.

Heat index values up to 109° will be possible.

Please take it easy if you must be outdoors for long periods of time. Take frequent breaks, stay hydrated, and check in on others. Heat illness can occur quickly in conditions like this.

The combo of temps in the mid 90s + dewpoints in the mid 70s isn’t going anywhere this week, and I would not be surprised if we saw several more Heat Advisories before the end of this week.

We continue to deal with our daily Wattery chances, most likely in the afternoon and evening.

Some high-res models think we could also see a few showers Monday morning as well.

Still no organized severe weather threat, just your typical hazards that come along with these summertime storms – isolated flooding, lightning and gusty winds.

Chances will be relatively low throughout the week, as coverage is expected to remain fairly isolated. Probably will have more dry days than rainy days this week.
