Showers and storms have helped cooled things off – which has been welcomed, prior to storms heat index values were in the low 100s.
Heat index values will continue to be in the 100 – 106° range thru this weekend.

Our Heat Advisory will continue on Monday until 7p. Heat index values will again get up near 106°.
I wouldn’t be surprised at all if several other days this week came along with another Heat Advisory.
Take precautions if you must be outdoors for long periods of time. Stay hydrated, take frequent breaks, and wear light colored and loose-fitting clothing. Heat related illness can set in quickly, no matter how in shape you are.
High temperatures will be in the upper 90s by middle of the week, before relaxing a bit back into the mid 90s by the end of this week.

Some of gotten lucky the past couple of days with showers and storms cooling us down – and these chances will continue throughout the week.
Low Wattery chances will be in the forecast daily – mostly confined to the afternoon and evening.
Although no severe weather is expected, these storms can quickly pulse up and bring heavy rain, lightning and some gusty winds before they collapse.
Rain chances increase a bit towards the end of the week.
