Not a Total Washout for MDW

So far, all of the rain has stayed to our SW today. We’ll probably see some light rain at least for a little at some point between now and sunset – but it won’t be a washout. I wouldn’t count on seeing the sun though.

The Euro and HRRR models are in a lot of disagreement on how Sunday plays out.

Euro: thinks we see plenty of showers/storms tomorrow, with chances mainly between noon and dinner. Low chance for a strong storm with gusty winds.

HRRR: mostly dry day, with maybe a quick shower sometime in the afternoon.

Those are two vastly different outcomes. No way to know which one is right, if either of them are. GFS is siding more with the Euro, for what that is worth – which isn’t much.

Monday will be another day with scattered shower/storm chances in the afternoon/evening. Hard to nail down any exact ETAs due to the scattered nature – but it won’t rain the entire day. Heavy rain and lightning possible in any storm, but no severe weather expected.

Tuesday looks like it could be a washout. Rain, heavy at times, possible throughout the day. Thankfully, still no severe chances though.

About 3″ of rain will be possible spread throughout these days, thankfully spread out enough to where we should avoid widespread flooding issues.

Rainfall chances still exist Wednesday and onwards, but much lower chances.
