Merry Christmas! It’s not a White Christmas, but it does feel real nice outside.

Our average high for Christmas Day is 47°, we’ll get all the way up to near 60° today. Great weather to try out any new toys, as long as it isn’t a sled. No rain expected today.
A couple of quick, light showers will be possible throughout the day Thursday. No big deal.
Things will get a little more active starting Friday as several weather-makers will move thru our area.
“On Thursday night into Friday, the first wave will move east from the southern Plains, bringing rain especially early Friday morning but chances (60-80%) will continue during the day. There will be breaks in the rainfall later on Friday and Friday night, but the next shortwave comes in Friday night into Saturday, which will keep the rain going.”
NWS Nashville Area Forecast Discussion
Rain chances will pick up early Friday morning and stick around for the majority of the day. No storms, just rain.
Another system arrives Saturday, which will bring us chances for some heavier rain and maybe a few non-severe thunderstorms. Models have gone back to the thinking that the strong stuff will stay to our south. This could change and we’ll keep an eye on it.
Still too soon to dive into specific timing, but if you have outdoor plans this weekend – having an indoor back-up may be helpful.
Rainfall totals thru Sunday likely to end up in the 1 – 3.5″ range.
Mild temps to continue thru the end of 2024.
