First Frost of the Season Possible Next Week

Warm weekend, borderline hot on Sunday. Plenty of sun and evenings will be cooler.

A cold front will push thru Sunday evening, it could bring a shower or even a storm to the Plateau, but we are expected to stay dry here.

This will bring in a cooler and drier air mass, high temps will be stuck in the mid 60s for the majority of the upcoming week, and potentially bring us our first frost of the season.

Note: normally a Frost Advisory would be issued for the first frost of the growing season, but starting now, the NWS will only issue Frost/Freeze products for our area between May 1 and September 30, where a frost/freeze would outside of the climatological norm. So, while we may be expecting a frost next week, you won’t see a Frost Advisory issued since we are already passed Sep 30.

Still no meaningful rain chances within the next 7 days.

Above-normal temps and below-normal rainfall favored in the 6-10 day range.
