Finally have some good news to share, but first I’ll get the bad news out of the way.
The next 4 or 5 days will be brutally hot.

High temps will be flirting with the 100° mark thru Tuesday.
It can be a bit challenging here to actually get to 100°, but we may make it. Our best chances will probably be Sunday or Monday. 99° or 100°, either way you’ll sweat.
Dewpoints thru Sunday: not so bad. Dewps in the low to mid 60s.
Dewpoints Monday + Tuesday: upper 60s / low 70s. This may send the heat index (aka “feels like” temps) to Heat Advisory criteria (105°+).

If outdoors this weekend and early next week, take precautions. Our Wet Bulb Globe Temperature will be in the “High” to “Extreme” category, which means “Working or exercising in direct sunlight will stress your body after 20 minutes. Take at least 40 minutes of breaks each hour if working or exercising in direct sunlight.”

Rain chances stay very low thru Tuesday. You’ll be very (un?)lucky if you do see an isolated shower/storm. No rainouts or severe weather expected.
Wednesday and Thursday meaningful rain chances return to the forecast. Still some uncertainty on the timing. No flooding or severe weather concerns, but certainly some needed rain.
Looking at the extended forecast (July 19 – 23), below-normal temperatures and above-normal precipitation is favored. Just what the doctor ordered.
