Today is the official start of summer for us (and everyone else in the Northern Hemisphere), and the forecast certainly looks like it.
High temperatures in the mid to upper 90s for at least the next 6 days will be a brutal stretch.

Dewpoints creeping up into the low 70s will be no help, sending heat index values above 100°. Definitely oppressive.

The only good news that comes with those dewpoints is the low chance for some relief with scattered showers/storms. Very little chance for rain to close out this week but starting Sunday daily rain/storm chances will enter the forecast and stick around thru at least mid-week. This will be your typical summertime pop-up storm chances, mostly in the afternoon and evening, with heavy rain, lightning and gusty wind possible with any storm.
I am only the messenger, but this hot pattern will likely stick around for at least the next two weeks.
