It’s March, temps have been/are in the 70’s, even pushing 80° today, could it be…an early arrival of Spring??
No.
Veterans will know this happens pretty much every year, around the same time. False Spring. And then a blast of cooler temps likes to come smack you in the face to remind you, that just because it is meteorological spring, does not mean it is astronomical spring.
That doesn’t mean you should enjoy today and tomorrow any less. Take it in while you can, soak in that preview of spring.
Wednesday temperatures return to near normal for this time of the year. Rain chances also pick up in the afternoon/evening.
Thursday rain chances continue, and the Weather Prediction Center has us outlooked with at least a 15% chance of flash flooding within 25 miles. We’ll keep an eye on this. Rain chances stick around for Friday, and it looks like we may get away with a dry Saturday and Sunday? We’ll have to see about this, still pretty far out. Not worried about severe weather with any of this rain.

Looking at the National Blend of Models, next week looks cool. Highs in the low 50’s, low temps in the mid 30’s. Although this seems brutal, it’s about average for this time of the year.
