Well…we had another record breaking day today, but we didn’t just break one record…we broke TWO records by hitting 90° this afternoon. We broke the record high temperature for October 19th of 89° that occurred in 2005 AND we broke the long standing record of the latest day with a high temperature of 90° which was previously October 10th and occurred in 1980. read more

Tonight: Good For “Star”gazing – Evening Temps in the 70s

Update: You know that record of 87° set in 1953? Well, we set a new one today. Nashville International Airport, at 2:10 this afternoon, reached 88°.

The Dallas Stars are in town tonight for a 7PM matchup against the Preds. Temperatures as you head for Bridgestone Arena will be in the low 80s to upper 70s. In fact, the warmth outside may make your first row seats next to the ice feel quite refreshing. read more

NWS-Nashville wrote this afternoon: “It won`t be a dry heat, either. [Winds blowing from the S/SE] will keep dew points in the low to mid 60°s both days, so relative humidity values will be elevated to make it a little sticky — but not summertime sticky.” read more

Tomorrow is the day that Middle TN might, just might, finally see some rain. Mostly cloudy skies expected for the majority of the day with highs building back into the mid 70s.

Update: Models seem to be in more of a “consensus” with when we could see rain tomorrow. The general trend right now is for showers to arrive in the afternoon hour and possibly continue into the evening. Showers will likely be scattered and non-severe. read more
