By Elan on Tuesday, November 18, 2025 @ 10:49 am • ( Leave a comment )

Our rain/storm chances are returning today, although we aren’t guaranteed rain.

To address the elephant in the room first, the Storm Prediction Center has outlooked most of Davidson Co. and far NW WillCo. with a 5% chance of damaging straight-line and hail, as well as a 2% chance of a tornado – all within 25 miles. read more

No Shortage of Warm Weather or Rain Chances This Week

By Elan on Monday, November 17, 2025 @ 10:17 am • ( Leave a comment )

No shortage of warm weather this week. High temps will be in the low to mid 70s for most of the week, with a few exceptions such as today and later this weekend.

There also won’t be any shortages of rain chances this week, although rainfall totals seem to be manageable. read more

Above-Average Temps & Plenty of Rain Chances This Week

By Elan on Sunday, November 16, 2025 @ 5:47 pm • ( Leave a comment )

Monday will be the last day without any rain chances for a while, as we enter a wet (and warm) pattern.

Rain chances return Tuesday PM and will stick around daily thru the end of the week. Models are still disagreeing with each other on timing, so I’m hesitant to start giving out any specifics on that just yet. read more

Warm and Rainy Pattern Next Week

By Elan on Saturday, November 15, 2025 @ 12:21 pm • ( Leave a comment )

Beautiful day ongoing, we’ll make it close to our daily record high of 79° – set in 1964.

Temperatures will remain warm over at least the next 7 days, but we won’t have the dry weather to go along with it. read more

Plenty of Rain Chances Next Week, Warm Weather Sticks Around

By Elan on Friday, November 14, 2025 @ 12:00 pm • ( Leave a comment )

Today and Saturday will be “get outside” days. High temps will be nearly 15° above average. Plenty of sun, it’ll feel like Spring – except for the sun setting at 4:39p.

Remainder of the forecast, temps will still be warm – just not as warm with highs in the mid to upper 60s. Mornings will still have a chill to them. read more

More Northern Lights Tonight(?), Dry Until Early Next Week

By Elan on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 @ 9:43 am • ( Leave a comment )

Seeing the Northern Lights had always been on my bucket list. I was fully prepared to take a trip up to some very high-latitude place to see them – until May 2024 when they were visible all the way down here. We got treated again in October of 2024, and yet again last night. It doesn’t get any less cool each time. read more

Warming Up and Staying Dry This Week

By Elan on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 @ 11:15 am • ( Leave a comment )

BNA bottomed out at 24° last night, with many spots colder than that. Thankfully, we won’t see temperatures that cold again for a while.

We’ll have a nice warming trend this week, with high temps getting all the way into the low to mid 70s. We’ll go from ~15° below average to ~15° above average in the span of just a few days. That checks out for around here. read more

Inconsequential Snow Flurries Today, Hard Freeze Tonight

By Elan on Monday, November 10, 2025 @ 9:34 am • ( Leave a comment )

A few lucky folks have already seen more snow flurries this morning, with more expected throughout the day. However, with temps expected to be above freezing (BNA is already at 33° as of 9a) any flurries will melt on contact with the ground – no accumulation is expected. Per usual, the Plateau will see some accumulation. read more

No-Worry-Flurries Monday, Wind Chill Near 15° Monday + Tuesday AM

By Elan on Sunday, November 9, 2025 @ 10:41 am • ( Leave a comment )

Yesterday our high was 75°. Tomorrow morning it will feel like ~15°. Quite the flip of a switch.

Our cold front has moved thru, which has already brought in cooler and drier air thanks to a strong NW breeze. read more
