A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for Davidson and Williamson Counties until 6 AM CST Tuesday morning.
Sleet and freezing rain will continue through the afternoon, with the snow line inching our way as well. Snow is currently in west TN as of noon.
A quiet day on tap for middle Tennessee to start the weekend. A frontal boundary has moved out of the area leaving temperatures near 50 degrees for our high today and tomorrow.
Dry conditions will continue for most of the day tomorrow before our next round of rain moves in overnight tomorrow into early Sunday morning.
Pretty steady temps this afternoon in the mid-40s with mostly sunny skies. Expecting dry conditions to last from now until early Thursday morning.
Clouds will be on the increase late this afternoon into tonight as our next round of rain approaches tomorrow morning.
Rain stays to a minimum this afternoon for Nashville but we can expect some overcast skies into the overnight hours as well.
We top out in the upper 50s for today. Our chance to see some light snow will be closer to overnight tonight.

This lifting warm front is associated with a surface low moving out of the Plains into the Ohio Valley. That low is going to drag a cold front across Middle Tennessee and set off another round of rain, and perhaps storms — some possibly severe.
Light rain showers are expected to move through Middle Tennessee after midnight but will most likely be out of the area by around 6 AM.
The rain will be light – less than a quarter of an inch accumulation.
It’s noticeably warmer today…same for tomorrow with sunny skies sticking around. Light south winds today should become more gusty Thursday ahead of our next system.
An incoming front may bring a spotty shower late Thursday night into early Friday morning.
Snow will pile up across Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi today and tonight.
Monday this system will turn into Tennessee and weaken.
We may get no local snow. The best snow chances are between us and Chattanooga.
The line between rain and snow isn’t always east or west like it was last night.
It’s also a matter of elevation.
