On and off showers will continue to move thru the area today. Having a rain jacket as you walk out the door is a great idea. You can always check the radar anytime on our website, and much more: Nashville Severe Weather
Can’t rule out a quick shower or two Monday, especially during the first half of the day, but think most of us will stay dry.
Tuesday during the day will be dry before our next rain chances arrive late Tuesday night into the early morning hours of Wednesday. This system will bring some much-needed rainfall, with models suggesting we don’t have to deal with any severe worries.
I’ll show the Euro just to get a glimpse of the general thinking, but don’t get married to the exact timing.
Models think we’ll have plenty of moisture, with Precipitable Water values reaching near the climatological max for the month of November.
This should lead to widespread, good rainfall for us all. Current indications point to 1.5 – 2″ of rain, which would be more than we saw throughout all of September and October. That wouldn’t erase our drought, but certainly a step in the right direction (finally).
We should begin to clear out on Thursday and cool down a tad, especially noticeable in the mornings. Way-too-early look at next weekend looks to be dry with temps near average.
