Fall Weather Here for the Weekend, No Rain In Sight
Friday, October 16, 2026 · Elan
Our highly anticipated cold front has finally arrived, bringing in much cooler and drier air. While our high temperature today will go in the books as 76°, that occurred just after midnight. Temperatures will slowly fall throughout the day, and we’ll wake up to temperatures in the mid 40s Saturday morning.
Saturday will be the coolest day, with highs only reaching close to 60°. Time to find where your put your favorite jacket/hoodie.
Sunday morning will be straight up cold.
Temperatures will get in the mid to upper 30s. Can’t totally rule out some patchy frost, especially at relatively higher elevations.
We’ll keep the cool mornings throughout next week, but highs will gradually warm, returning to the mid to upper 70s.
More tolerable than the 90s I suppose.
Rain chances sit at zero over at least the next 7 days (besides maybe a quick sprinkle today). Not great news for our drought, and it’ll likely get worse before it gets better.
October is typically our driest month, just unfortunate timing after our extremely dry September.
