Record Highs Possible Tuesday – Thursday
Monday, October 12, 2026 · Elan
I can’t imagine too many people will be thrilled about the first half of this blog. However, I promise there is good news, so just stick with me here for a second.
It is now what I consider to be the middle of October anddd it’s still hot.
High temperatures will be near 90° thru Thursday.
In fact, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday will all have a shot at tying or breaking the daily record high.
Who signed up for this? I don’t know – but here we are.
Enough of the bad news. Our weather will do a 180° on Friday as a (dry) cold front moves thru and will bring in feelings of pumpkin spice and Halloween. Just a beautiful weekend ahead.
High temperatures get into the 60s/70s, we may even see low temps drop into the upper 30s(!). Time to find where your jacket is stored.
Unfortunately, there’s no real beneficial rainfall ahead.
Light showers will be possible Wednesday and Thursday afternoons, but totals (if any) would be very light.
Saturday’s rain was nice, but we’d need more than that to dig out of our drought. We happen to be in the midst of climatologically speaking, the driest month of the year, so not the best timing.
