I do not remember the last time our weekend weather looked this nice. Football weather is finally here.

High temperatures will generally be around 80° (probably less today with this thick cloud cover hanging around), waking up in the upper 50s(!!!). Drier air will also seep into the area starting Friday, with dewpoints getting down into the low 50s, maybe even the 40s – which will feel incredibly refreshing.

Temperatures and dewpoints will slowly increase starting early next week, with high temperatures nearing 90°, which will be nearly 10° above average, but certainly far from 100°.

The dry weather will be nice for any and all outdoor plans you may have this weekend, but we could use the rain.

Updated Drought Monitor shows the majority of our two counties now in a Moderate Drought.

Models suggest rain chances don’t return until middle to late next week. This is still a ways out, but ensembles are hinting that we may finally get some more widespread, beneficial rainfall.

We’ll keep an eye on things, but for now, we can at least enjoy the nice weekend weather.
