While Cam Ward did not say this exact quote, he is probably thinking it.
I do have my football takes, but I’ll save that for another day, perhaps a rainy day – which we don’t have any of.
We really don’t have any rain chances to look forward to this week. The HRRR model thinks we could see a random stray shower tomorrow afternoon perhaps? IDK, probably not.
Models think we may start seeing some more rain chances starting next week, and perhaps some cooler temperatures. I want to get my hopes up because I just want some Fall weather, but I will keep my expectations on the floor so I can’t get dissapointed.
Not only are we dry, but we will also be hot. Hot as in potentially record-breaking hot.
Today will be the “coolest” day out of the next week. And by “coolest” I mean still around 10° above average.

We have a Heat Advisory to deal with both Tuesday and Wednesday, and NWS Nashville notes they may have to extend it even further.
High temps in the upper 90s, dewpoints nice and moist sending heat index values in the 105-108° range.
We’ll be threatening daily record highs Tuesday thru Friday. Over the next week, I don’t see a single day when we aren’t at least ten degrees above average.
