Per reliable sources, the Pumpkin Spice Latte (PSL) came out this week at a popular coffee shop. Normally, I’d keep my opinion on this to myself, but since there’s not a lot going on, I’ll share my thoughts.

It’s August. PSL is a Fall drink. August and that particular season don’t even belong in the same sentence. I’d listen to September arguments, but August? Don’t even get me started. Get a PSL then go for a walk outside in your Uggs, and what – sweat?

I digress.

The final days of August leading into early September will be hot. Even by this time of year standards, we’ll get well above average.

It will gradually get worse each day, getting back into the mid to upper 90s by the middle of next week. Heat index values will be in the 100-105° range, as if we haven’t already had enough of those days. We won’t even sniff a nice, somewhat chilly morning.

No meaningful rain chances to speak of within the next 5 days. Meh rain chances return mid to late next week, but even those aren’t too impressive right now. Things could certainly change, but this seems like a fairly dry stretch up ahead.
