Although we’ve warmed up quite a bit (close to 90° as of 2:30p), dewpoints remain reasonable in the mid 50s, making it somewhat tolerable outside. Unfortunately, these nice dewpoints won’t stick around for much longer.

Dewpoints jump right back up to the mid to upper 60s by tomorrow, and with that, the return of rain chances.

The HRRR model (shown below) is a little more excited about our Wednesday rain chances than other models, but I’ll still show it.

Whether or not we see some afternoon showers/storms will largely depend on if the cluster is able to make it to Middle TN or not. Other models think it misses us to our SW or just falls apart completely. It’s just something we won’t truly know until day-of. As always, we’ll keep an eye on it. No severe weather is expected, but any thunderstorm could have some lightning and heavy rain.

It’s possible we see additional showers and storms during the day on Thursday, but a lot will depend on how Wednesday plays out. Essentially the same as Wednesday, with any rain being scattered in nature, not expecting a total washout. Again, no severe weather is expected.

We begin to dry out on Friday, with a dry rest of the weekend. The temperature + dewpoint combo the remainder of the week, continuing into the weekend, will return to the “uncomfortable” category. Highs in the low to mid 90s, with dewpoints in the mid to upper 60s, reminding us that it is still late August.
