Today will still be hot, but not as hot as the past several days.

We still have a Heat Advisory to get thru, with heat index values of 105°+ possible. Please continue to take precautions against the heat, including staying hydrated and taking frequent breaks. Heat-related illnesses can sneak up on anyone quickly.

Temperatures relax a tad behind this cold front that will move thru today. Again, I use the word “cold” very lightly, and I’d prefer to just call it a front.

Highs will more be confined to the low 90s this weekend, with the exception of Wednesday. The good news for Wednesday, and really the rest of this week after today will be that dewpoints will more be in the upper 60s – making things more tolerable.

Can’t totally rule out a quick shower today, but most of us should stay dry. If you do hear of any severe threat today, that is for areas off to our east such as the Plateau. We are not included in any severe potential, but as always, we’ll keep an eye on things.

Tuesday will likely be dry before rain chances return on Wednesday afternoon/evening. Rain and storm chances continue thru Friday before tapering off on Saturday. Highest rain chances will be Thursday morning thru afternoon.

Currently, no severe concerns as of right now. Perhaps maybe some strong storms possible on Wednesday/Thursday, but models are in no sort of agreement on this right now.

Total rainfall over the next week seems fairly meager, with models currently thinking we see around 0.5″.
